Their mission is to provide expert guidance and strategic counsel to the organization, empowering us to make informed decisions and set clear goals. Members of the Advisory Board act as Task Force Manager on special projects. They advise our team of instructors and act as a liaison between instructors and the organization. <\/p>\n

Would You Like to Serve?<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have expert knowledge and would like to give back to the community by helping others with their dog training goals? As an Advisory Board member you have the opportunity to interact directly with our dog trainers and share your knowledge. You also help define rules and standards for the organization.<\/p>\n

We believe strongly in having our best instructors help both our other instructors, and also our students; particularly our expert students. As part of the evaluating team on the Advisory Board, you will have a chance to not only learn by watching a wide variety of expert dogs and trainers, but also the chance to really give insightful advice to trainers who can’t get that top-level advice elsewhere. <\/div>\n

The Advisory Board is entrusted with information that is not intended for the general public. It is important to have a group that has as its priority and loyalty the success of the organization, the instructors, the students, and the dogs. We trust that Advisory Board members are, in every situation, helping the organization, speaking well of the organization, and representing the organization in a positive light. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Advisory Board members  serve a 6 month term.
\n\u2014 Terms are April – September, and October – March<\/p>\n

A good candidate for the Advisory Board:
\n\u2014 is the person who genuinely wants to help people and dogs
\n\u2014 wants to gain experience and credentials
\n\u2014 can contribute 40 hours over their 6 month term
\n\u2014 is an expert dog trainer, and preferably has several of our instructor certifications (CTDI, CCFC, SDJ, AACE)
\n\u2014 has a positive attitude<\/p>\n

Main duties include:
\n\u2014 Evaluate Champion applications 
\n\u2014 Conduct CTDI Fastrack interviews
\n\u2014 Moderate Facebook groups and disseminate information
\n\u2014 Recommend changes to trick levels and additions to the tricks list and changes to the application forms
\n\u2014 Foster a culture that promotes positive training, enthusiasm, and skill
\n\u2014 Provide input on new programs
\n\u2014 Act as Task Force Manager on a special project<\/p>\n
